Cunard Line and P&O Cruises to offer same sex marriages at sea

Supreme Court ruling enables same sex marriages in Bermuda.

Both Cunard Line and P&O Cruises have started offering same sex weddings at sea following a recent Supreme Court ruling enabling same sex marriages in Bermuda, where both cruise lines have their ships registered.

Previously they were unable to offer same sex marriages due the Bermudian law the ships are governed by. However they did offer a Commitment ceremony to same sex couples, as these are non legal ceremonies, but now you will be able to be legally married by the captain (or deputy) on your cruise.

Prices start from £1200 on P&O or $2800 on Cunard.

Due to P&O Britannia still being registered in Southampton, marriages won’t be available onboard.
