Ahoy, fellow cruisers! We’re thrilled to announce our brand-new vlog series featuring our adventure aboard the Marella Cruises Marella Explorer on the Canarian Flavours itinerary. Episode 1: The Journey Begins!

Our adventure kicked off at Cardiff Airport, where we breezed through the TUI baggage drop-off before heading to security. Once that was out of the way, we did what any good cruiser would do—grabbed a pre-flight pint (and, of course, snapped a selfie while trying not to spill it!).

 

A quick four-hour flight later, we landed in Gran Canaria, collected our bags, and hopped on our included transfer to the cruise terminal. The seamless process of getting from the airport to the ship made the start of our holiday stress-free. Once we arrived, all we had to do was pick up our cruise cards, register a credit card for our onboard account, and have our security photos taken – easy peasy!

Exploring the Ship

After checking in, we wasted no time getting to know our home for the week. We took a wander around the promenade deck, only to discover we couldn’t do a full lap (a fun fact for anyone planning to explore the ship!). Then, we made our way to The Squid & Anchor, one of Marella Explorer’s fantastic onboard bars, to relax and soak up the atmosphere.
