P&O Iona Interior Cabin 4424 Review: Surprisingly Impressive for the Price

Looking for an honest review of a P&O Iona Interior Cabin? During our latest cruise, we stayed in Cabin 4424 and came away genuinely impressed. While it’s one of the most affordable cabin options onboard, it offers everything needed for a comfortable cruise holiday.

First Impressions

As soon as we stepped inside, we were pleasantly surprised. The cabin feels modern, bright and well-designed, with clever use of mirrors helping create a more spacious feel.

The bed can be configured as either a double or twin beds, and there are useful storage cubbies on both sides alongside USB charging ports and reading lights.

Living Space and Entertainment

Opposite the bed is a large flat-screen TV. One of our favourite features is using the bridge webcam channel, which effectively acts like a virtual window. It helps bring some natural light into the cabin during the day and makes waking up in an inside cabin feel much more natural.

Below the TV you’ll find additional storage, a cooler for drinks and medication, and the cabin telephone.

Storage and Practical Features

Storage is excellent for an inside cabin, with:

  • A wardrobe with hanging space
  • Multiple shelves and cubbies
  • An in-room safe
  • Full-length mirror
  • Hairdryer
  • Handy wall hooks for coats and bags

There are also two UK plug sockets, a European socket and USB ports, making charging devices easy.

Tea and Coffee Facilities

The cabin includes complimentary tea and coffee facilities with PG Tips tea bags, Douwe Egberts coffee, biscuits and milk portions. A daily programme is also delivered to the cabin, detailing everything happening onboard.

Modern Bathroom

The en-suite bathroom is one of the standout features. It feels modern and stylish, with warm wood finishes, a large illuminated mirror and plenty of storage space.

Guests are provided with The White Company toiletries, including hand wash, shower gel and shampoo.

The shower itself is a good size, features a glass door rather than a curtain, and includes a retractable washing line that’s perfect for drying swimwear.

Our Verdict

For the price, P&O Iona’s Interior Cabin 4424 offers fantastic value for money. It’s comfortable, modern, well-equipped and has more storage than many guests might expect.

Would we book it again? Absolutely.

If you’re looking to save money on your cruise while still enjoying a comfortable cabin, this interior stateroom is a great choice.
